This is a program for children Pre-K thru 5th Grade.
Four-year-olds through 2nd grade: During the meetings, children engage in a Bible lesson, singing, and work on Scripture memory.
Grades 3-5: This is a group designed especially for youth who are not yet teenagers and who are no longer “little kids”. The group gives them something to call their own and reaches them where they are in their life. Meetings include a lesson, Scripture memory, and games.
Vienna Baptist Church encourages participation in summer camp at Camp Cowen. Camps are available for children as young as entering the second grade.
The children participate in mission activities throughout the year. In May, they take part in the American Cancer Society’s Kid’s Walk. During the Christmas season, the children prepare crafts and cookies and deliver them to the shut-ins of the congregation.
“A Special Time with the Children”
Is held on all Sundays except the first Sunday of the month. Different members of the congregation lead the children in a devotion. This gives the children their own sense of Worship and allows them to feel like a part of the Sunday morning Worship Service.
Is available for children from the Nursery through fifth grade during the morning Worship Service. Children’s Church is not held on the first Sunday of the month; children grades K-5 participate in a mission project during the church hour each Communion Sunday. The children are dismissed for Extended Session and Children’s Church after the “A Special Time with the Children”. In Extended Session and Children’s Church, the children continue to Worship God and learn more about Him at their own level and pace.
