At Vienna Baptist Church, we strive to keep our facilities is good working order to benefit our members and member’s family and friends. The following are short descriptions of the services we have to offer. Please contact  Shelly Everett in the church office for more information.

SanctuaryWeddings Our sanctuary is available upon request for weddings. Please contact Shelly for availability and costs. She will provide you with a booklet of information and timelines of what needs to be done and when. In the booklet, you will also find decorating instructions for pew bows, flowers and candles.  The sanctuary is set up with audio/video capability and all church services are recorded to DVD.  This is also available for other events.

Funerals & Bereavement Dinners In our efforts to assist you in properly planning the eulogistic services for your loved one, family members should immediately contact the pastor for pastoral care and the scheduling of services. Pastor Bill Brown can provide invaluable spiritual and emotional support in a time of bereavement as God’s personal presence in the midst of loss. In the event that a dinner is requested following a burial service, please contact Shelly Dawson in the office for scheduling purposes and a list of available menus.

Baptism When a person professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the new Christian is typically baptized. In the opening gospel stories of the New Testament, John the Baptist baptized his disciples at Bethany beyond Jordan where Jesus met John and was baptized by him (John 1:25-34). Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. Being a church ordinance, it is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership. Please contact either the Church secretary, Shelly Dawson or Pastor Bill Brown for more information.

Nursery & Toddler Room Childcare is provided during Sunday School and Morning Worship. VBC offers a staffed nursery (newborn to 24 months), toddler room (2-3 year olds), kindergarten extended session (4-5 year olds) and Children’s Church (grades 1-5).

Classrooms We offer Sunday School every Sunday morning at 9:30 and 11:30 to accommodate people wanting to attend a specific service. Sunday School provides experiences in faith formation for people of all ages. Primary (Grades 1 – 5) Middle School (Grades 6-8) Senior High (Grades 9-12) We have numerous adult classes that are formed according to “stages of life.” People at different stages of life often share similar experiences. These common interests become a basis for friendship, support, growth, and outreach.

Activities Room We converted our previous sanctuary into an activities room for a variety of uses.  The activity shown is the SOS Fair of 2009 that provided an overview of the many Committees, Ministries, Boards and opportunities available at Vienna Baptist Church. There are also basketball hoops set up for anyone to play or practice. We also use the room for dinners, luncheons, crafts, special meetings, etc.

Multi-Purpose Room This is a comfortable room for meetings, seminars, intimate luncheons and bridal / baby showers. Our choir meets each Sunday morning in this room for rehearsal before morning worship. Commonly referred to as the ‘Pink’ room, our members use it for a variety of reasons.  This is frequently used as the Bride’s Parlor.

Kitchen & Fellowship Hall We have a full kitchen that we use to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner for a variety of reasons in our large Fellowship Hall. Both of these rooms are available to our members for use.
